MEDICAL EQUIPMENT TECH (MET) CERTIFICATE & DIPLOMA
This is an interactive online training program to train you as a Medical Equipment Technology (MET) professional. The program is designed to prepare the student for variety of medical technology jobs, and other positions in the field of HTM. The online program gives a comprehensive, up-to-date overview of the Healthcare Technology Management & Medical Equipment Tech (MET) industry. The program allows the student flexibility to complete a program of study when a traditional classroom setting is not an option.
We utilize various Learning Management Systems, modern webinar software, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) training portals, interactive lab software, online libraries, as well as proprietary and open source videos and training links to provide a balanced learning approach. We enjoy putting the focus on the needs of a student by considering the organization they may be or are working for; specialized modules/lessons can be quickly assembled to address the specific needs of the organization or student whereas instructional staff will find the necessary learning tools to enhance specialized learning.
OUR TRAINING PROGRAM
Med Equipment Tech Certificate
The certificate program is a 3-semester-long intensive academic program delivering theoretical instruction via online interactive distance learning. In addition to 3 semesters, students enrolled in the certificate program are also encouraged to participate in an externship. Our training system provides interactive instruction through our Moodle Learning Management System and includes online meetings via Zoom® Video Conferencing. Classes completed as part of the certificate course are transferable to the MET Diploma Program.
Med Equipment Tech Diploma
This 6-semester-long interactive distance learning program designed to prepare the student to seek a variety of entry-level positions in the healthcare technology and management field. Students undergo training in electronics and computer technology, with an emphasis on medical applications, operations, and procedures. The program includes instruction in instrument calibration, design, installation and testing, as well as safety, maintenance, and equipment repair procedures. The general education component of the program prepares students to think critically in preparation for taking on leadership positions in the field.
